OUTDOORS WITH TENT

Are you a fiber enthusiast?  Or just curious?  Calling all knitters, quilters, seamstresses, and tie-dyers.  Anne is a handweaver who has dabbled in dye work as well.  She will have several dye vats set up and you can come with your materials and "go to town"!  

Each participant will bring their own natural fiber items to dye:  100% cotton, silk, and 100% wool are the most successful. We will be using permanent procion dyes.  Recommended are t shirts or other items (socks, shorts, scarves) and also home goods such as napkins, table runners, or pillow covers. Small amounts of yardage are also acceptable, as are skeins of yarn, or chained warps.  

If you want to mix your own dye colors, be sure to bring something to mix them in (plastic buckets, glass bowls, plastic dishpans all work well).  

Come wearing "messy" clothes and bring rubber gloves and a waterproof container to take your dyed creations home (ziploc bags for small items, plastic bins for larger items).  We will be working outdoors.  Please note rain date.
