Silk Resist Dye

Silk Resist Dye In-Person

This is a dye technique that combines drawing or tracing with dyeing to create permanent images on fabric and textiles. You don’t need to be an artist, as you can trace patterns provided by the instructor. Each person will learn about using resists, setting them, and dyeing within their confines to create your own piece of silk fiber art. Wear old clothes and bring rubber gloves and a hand held hair dryer. All other materials will be provided by the instructor, Anne Cameron. Please note that the session may run overtime a little, depending on where we are in the process.

Limit 6 participants, suitable for youth (age 10 and above) and adults of any age.
Materials fee: $10 per scarf
