Qigong for Gardeners

Qigong for Gardeners In-Person

Serious gardeners know to take care of their tools. But what about the most important gardening tool of all, your body? Please join exercise specialist Cris Caivano, M.A. on Saturday April 20 from 10:30-noon, and learn how to “oil your joints” with the pleasant and surprisingly effective Silk Reeling exercises from Qigong.

Qigong may sound exotic, but it’s actually supremely practical! Evolved over centuries and based on observations of how water, plants, and animals move, its flowing and unforced exercises bring circulation and flexibility back to the spine, shoulders, hips, knees, and hands. This is a gentle, easy, and proven way to “de-creak” and strengthen hard-working muscles and joints. Note: Your balance will also improve as you will learn how to move with the effortless ease of nature.

Beginner friendly, all ages welcome! Note: weather permitting, we will practice outside, so please dress appropriately.
