Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward’s daughter Melissa will offer a uniquely personal look into her parents’ lives and love affair, as presented in her book: Head Over Heels. Sharing amazing photographs, both family snapshots and the work of some of the most celebrated photographers of our time (including Richard Avedon, Bruce Davidson, Gordon Parks, Sam Shaw and others) from the book, Melissa will offer her perspective on her parents’ careers on the screen and stage, as well as artistic collaborators, political activists, and philanthropists. 

Melissa Newman was born in Los Angeles and raised following her parents back and forth between coasts. Primarily an artist and jazz vocalist, she is also a writer and third-generation teacher. In 2002 she and her husband bought the house her parents had purchased in Connecticut in 1961. Her parents moved next door, and together they formed a hive of creativity and a nest of mutual affection for three generations of family.
