Ivalas Quartet

Ivalas Quartet In-Person

The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon, in collaboration with Music Mountain, continues its free Sunday classical music concert series on February 18 at 4 pm with an exceptional performance featuring renowned and emerging musicians. The concert will take place in the newly restored Hotchkiss Library of Sharon at 10 Upper Main Street in Sharon.

The Ivalas Quartet, hailed by The Strad for playing with “tremendous heart and beauty,” has been changing the face of classical music since its inception at the University of Michigan in 2017. Dedicated to the celebration of BIPOC voices, Ivalas seeks to enhance the classical music world by consistently spotlighting past and present BIPOC composers such as Jessie Montgomery, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and Eleanor Alberga.

The Guild, the library's volunteer organization, extends a warm invitation to all lovers of music, books, and culture. Concert seating is very limited and registration is required, beginning Friday, February 2 for this concert.
